Volunteers are essential to the work done by CrossRoads. We welcome individuals who share our vision of a world free of sexual violence, exploitation, and maltreatment. We value diversity, striving to create an inclusive environment that is welcoming to any and all in need of support, advocacy, or resources.

CrossRoads is committed to creating a trauma-informed space where all persons feel supported and heard. In order to accomplish this goal, all CrossRoads Volunteers will be asked to complete the following before engaging in volunteer opportunities.

  • CrossRoads Orientation (3 hours)

  • Self-paced online Advocacy training (20 hours)

  • Completion of background check

CrossRoads offers a number of opportunities for our volunteers to serve. These opportunities include, but are not limited to,:

· Childcare

· Sourcing resources for client referrals

· Creation and maintenance of social media

· Event volunteer staff

· Special projects

CrossRoads is also seeking long-term volunteers for three different specialized teams.

· Crisis Line Volunteers

· CrossRoads 101 Community Engagement Team

· Youth Connections Group Leaders

Persons interested in volunteering for specialized teams will need to complete additional training before beginning their chosen assignment(s).

Volunteer opportunities are open in Alamance, Caswell, and Person counties.
